Night Fever

Stifled by hot desire

I stagger drunkenly

To the window

Stunned

By Love’s heavy

Mist.

Letting in the wind

Fanning the thickened

Senses

Body unhinged

By fever’s scalding

Tongue.

I give thanks for

Your

Glittering presence.
