Valentine

I give you wonder
You give me your love
We sing from above
Of passion to plunder.

I give you laughter
You give me a sign
We feast on love’s wine
Drunkenness comes after.

I give you my word
You give me your seal
We flame as we feel
Cries no longer unheard.

I give you the earth
You give me fresh rain
We wash away pain
On the bed of rebirth.

  1. A lot of cool lines here. Liked those last two lines especially.

Oh, thank you. That is most kind. The mystery of love, I find, never loses its capacity to excite.
