Renewal

After the sorow, laughter flows
a river of light on this deep earth.
After the shadows, morning beckons
a beaker of hope proffering mirth.
After the mist, clarity descends
on roads of hope, while the soul does surf.
After sparseness, rich bounty blazes
in love’s gentle hand, tending rebirth.

I enjoyed Renewal as it is reminds me of The Romantic Poets as they use nature to instruct, and reflect on opposition in the natural world and in our lives.

Thank you. I too am a fan of the Romantic Poets. Wordsworth’s lines about the sublime power of nature always chime, “Come forth into the light of things/Let Nature be your teacher.”
