Thirst

I feel a great thirst
all of a sudden,
for this life
brimming with wonder.

Sucking on the marrow,
all that it offers,
I feel a great thirst
all of a sudden.

Bursting at the seams,
every pore alert,
I feel a great thirst
all of a sudden.

Pouring without end,
love lighting the mind;
I feel a great thirst
all of a sudden.

Revelling in green,
the colour of hope;
All of a sudden,
I feel a great thirst.

Only You

Only your light to stave off the darkness
only your grace to cover the vastness;
Only your touch to soften the pain
only your laughter that falls like rain;
Only your words pregnant with meaning
only your love to which I’m leaning.

There is only you to see the night through,
the song of your body keeping me true.

Some Notes on Beauty

Beauty is what makes the Earth spin,
beauty is the force that lies within;
Beauty is bliss that studs the night,
beauty is laughter and lovers’ light.

Beauty is joy cresting the mind,
beauty is finding what is kind,
beauty is touch soothing the past,
beauty is sacred, pure and vast.

Beauty is thought dressed in esprit,
beauty is the way and the key,
beauty is the eternal vow,
beauty is the wonder of now.

Ardour

Despite the wheels of time,
our love shall always rhyme;
Wherever feet do tread,
with thee my mind is wed.

Keen for the taste of you,
I feast on every clue;
Unlocking ancient pain,
what was is not in vain.

And now I take my bow,
beauty a sacred vow;
Your body feeds my soul,
for desire keeps us whole.
