Serenity falls
Unruffled by worries
Radiant charm

Gaze
Hours and hours
I gaze
Upon the
Wide oceanic blue.
But how
I would rather
Be feasting
On the kernel
Of you.
I Raise A Glass
I raise a glass
To the setting sun,
Sunk in splendour.
Thankful for loving,
No curtain of tears
Can truly conceal.
Easy it is to feel
That what’s to come
Will give birth
To something purer,
A revelation of sorts.

Presence
With you by my side,
All of time recedes;
Like an ebbing sea
Sucked free of history.
With you, the road is clear –
Rivers glisten in the sun,
Peaks offer glimpses of joy,
Living is the pulsing ploy.
With you, zesty spirit,
Flowers tingle with freshness;
Touch springs in the air,
From here to everywhere.
Observation
I sit on the patio gazing at life,
transparency softens the strife –
drifting clouds, orange skies,
the music of water –
one spectacle shines forth,
a diamond like moonlight,
your unvarnished laughter.

Rest
It is good
sometimes
to do
nothing at all.
Filling my hours
along lanes
of leisure,
strolling without
any care
except to stop
now and again,
musing upon
the joy of trees
and the
unmissable
wonder of thee.

Stars
Scattering their light
So free, I take my tea
And stare for endless minutes,
Time dissolved in this
Stellar show.
After vexing thoughts
Plough the mind’s furrow,
Serene it is to absorb
Bright daubings in the sky.
If night’s canvas
Could speak:
Be still, be still –
Beauty drowns
Fears that kill.
