If I Could #2

If I could leap miles and miles
    Whisper sweet nothings
In your ear
           I would.

If I could pluck stars
     From the sky, scatter
Then upon your bed
            I would.

If I could stitch these
      Words in a luminous
Shawl, untorn
            I would.

If I could barrel
       My kisses
Roll them to you
            I would.

If I could persuade
        The flamingoes
To dance unabashed
             I would.

If I could discard
         These longings
On the altar of touch
             I would.

If I could stand
          Proud and unbowed
The earth would thrill
             Afresh, it would.

If I could cherish thee
           As Spring
Serenades the trees
              I would.

If I could spell a charm
           That carried
You there to here
               I would.

If I could tell you
            The ways
You flit and flare
               I would.

If I could take your hand
            And float in a bubble
Of love, life would be grand
                It would.

Haiku

Silky-smooth breeze

Water pours in scented ease –

Spirits unsheathed.

Walk With Me

Walk with me

In sun and in rain
Walk with me
Through the pain.

Walk with me
Across the fields
Walk with me
Where darkness yields.

Walk with me
Over the hills
Walk with me
To the silent thrills.

Walk with me
To the sultry sea
Walk with me
Naked and carefree.

Walk with me
Beyond the page
Walk with me
Love and engage.

Sacred

I rest between your thighs
Drinking from your cup;
My tongue tracing your name,
The letters heading up.

I kiss your quivering breasts
Soft as velvet spread,
Fingers locked together,
Tenderness undead.

I love your liquid eyes,
Smiles rippling the brim,
A sea wherein fears melt,
Splendour stays undimmed.

I suck with tears of joy,
Your lips breathing fire;
As evening teases dawn,
The spinning of desire.

I marvel at this life,
Selves distinct as wine;
Blending separate notes,
Wonder is we, not mine.

Snapshot

We haven’t seen one another
For an age, swept along
By life’s ceaseless currents.

But like the eternal sun
Your presence blazes,
And I stay grateful

For having held your hand
Once upon a time.

What is…

What is life without the meeting of minds?
A cheerless chasm.

What is life without the touch of laughter?
An echo with no soul.

What is life without the linking of limbs?
Empty beyond words.

What is life without the flame of love?
Hollow. Hollow. Hollow.

Scraps

Even in those moments
That drift aimlessly,
Tattered scraps
Snagged by the wind,
A halo shimmers
In the eye’s corner,
Flooding the shadows
Without a care.

Love is stubborn,
Finds a way of coming,
And this is grace
Given wings that sing,
Mending time’s  tapestry;
If only to taste
Before all goes to waste.
